Garfield County agrees to Red Hill IGA with Carbondale
GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – Garfield County and the town of Carbondale have agreed on an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) to annex property at Red Hill, develop parking and hiking and multi-use trails, and realign County Road 107. Under the IGA, the county is providing $428,000 toward the CR 107 realignment, which will be completed by Garfield County Road and Bridge. Carbondale purchased the property at the base of Red Hill, at the confluence of Highway 82 and County Road 133, for use as open space, trail connections, and parking lots. Changes coming to New Castle, Carbondale precinct boundaries
GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The boundaries of several voting precincts in Garfield County are being adjusted for growth prior to the 2018 caucuses. Voters in Carbondale’s precincts one through four, and New Castle’s 14 and 15, will receive notices by mail explaining which precinct they reside in after the changes are finalized. These changes will not occur until after the Nov. 7, 2017 Election Day. In Carbondale, a precinct boundary that ran through the middle of town is being shifted out to Highway 133.
