Congregate meal service locations
Congregate meals are held at seven locations throughout Garfield County. All meals are served at 12 p.m. and meal service ends at 12:15 p.m. Reservations are very important to our program to obtain accurate food count for meal preparation. New participants are welcome. Anyone attending a meal site should make a reservation by noon at least 48 hours in advance of the meal by calling the phone numbers listed below:

We are so excited and happy to announce that we have a new caterer to prepare our meals in Glenwood Springs and Carbondale with changes in the days of service and a new location in the Town of Carbondale. We hope that you will be able to join us for a congregate meal starting February 22, 2022. We welcome Aspen Chef’s Alan Kokish as our partner and look forward to wonderful meals and seeing folks in person with lots of socializing. We have missed you all.
During the pandemic, we have been providing heat-at-home meals in Glenwood Springs and Carbondale. We will now ending our temporary home delivered and grab ‘n go meals and will only serve meals in a group setting or congregate meals at three locations. In Glenwood, we will serve on Tuesdays and Fridays in two locations – Sunnyside Retirement Center and Chat n’ Chew at Colorado Mountain College – and at The Orchard’s The Gathering Center in Carbondale on Wednesdays.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility with the Senior Programs Nutrition Program and look forward to seeing you in person.
Menus for all locations are provide monthly and are available at the nutrition sites from Senior Programs and available at the county website. Come see what you have been missing and have lunch with friends. For those 60 and older and their spouse, the recommended voluntary contribution for each meal is $3. Participants are encouraged to pay as they are able. Guest fees for those under 60 is $10.25 per meal.

Special grocery shopping hours for seniors
All area City Markets are implementing senior hours, from 7 to 8 a.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Prescription pick-up services are not available during this time. Walmart is offering senior hours from 6 to 7 a.m. on Tuesdays, and prescription pick-up is available. Natural Grocers in Glenwood Springs is offering a special shopping hour from 9 to 10 a.m. for seniors (60 and over) and people with underlying health issues.
High-risk seniors are encouraged to minimize public exposure when possible. Some options to help limit exposure are:
- City Market’s grocery pick up (the first three are free).
- Walmart grocery pickup (free).
- Clarks Market Parachute (no pickup or delivery)

Extended table
LIFT-UP’s Extended Table grab-and-go bagged meals are available from 5 to 6 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays in Rifle at the Rifle United Methodist Presbyterian Church, Lovell Building, 200 E. 4th Street.
- Monday through Friday in Glenwood Springs the First United Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Ave.
