Garfield County welcomes and strives for its services to be accessible to people with disabilities. Online service delivery enables access for all county residents to critical resources, data and information. Accessibility is listed as the first menu item on all pages of our websites, and the county is expanding technology use to provide greater access. Garfield County has dedicated work on its websites to enhance accessibility for more than a decade.

Garfield County is assigning staff and resources to comply with Colorado HB 21-1110 Law for Persons with Disabilities. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops guidelines which are regarded as the international standard for accessibility. Garfield County expends resources to improve compliance with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA criteria.
