The new Municipay platform offers taxpayers Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone payment services with support in both English and Spanish, as well as reduced fees of $2 for an electronic check and 2.95 percent for credit card payments ($3 minimum fee). Municipay is the only authorized third-party payment processor for the Garfield County Treasurer’s Office. Taxpayers are discouraged from using other third-party payment platforms, such as Doxo, BillPay.com, or bill pay services from other financial institutions, etc., as these may result in payments not received or postmarked in a timely manner. If payments are posted late due to utilizing other third-party services, remitters will incur additional interest that by statute cannot be waived by our office.
Property tax payments are still accepted in person at 109 8th Street, Suite 204, Glenwood Springs, or by mail (P.O. Box 1069 Glenwood Springs CO 81602). Contact the Garfield County Treasurer’s Office at 970-945-6382 or by email with questions.
