COVID-19 vaccine update

Early doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been limited to Garfield County’s emergency workers and people age 70 and older. But as more vaccine becomes available and as providers finish vaccinating these groups, additional categories will open up.

Many below the line 1B workers have contacted public health for updates. Garfield County continues to follow CDPHE guidance, but will post current information on our on our newsfeed, website and Facebook page.

Where and how to make a vaccine appointment in Garfield County

All providers require appointments and are only vaccinating people in eligible categories. See more details and links to providers

This week Valley View Hospital launched a new online scheduling system to make appointment scheduling easier. They do not have a wait list, however when vaccine is available individuals can go online and make an appointment. Grand River has been opening vaccine appointment phone lines on Wednesdays at 1 pm. Appointments are based on vaccine availability. There is a new mobile vaccine van for Spanish-speaking individuals and City Market pharmacies and Mountain Family Health Centers have online forms to register for the vaccine.

All doses will be free. No identification or insurance is required. Information is never shared for any purpose.

Age 70+ make your appointment See below for a list of vaccine providers. If you are age 70+ (or helping someone who is),and cannot get an appointment through one of the providers below, please call Public Health at 970-665-6371 and we will try to assist you.

Age 65+ Are not currently being vaccinated in Colorado.

Is an appointment required? Yes
How to make an appointment: Appointments will be made available online as vaccine supply is available. Those in eligible categories will be able to schedule appointments when vaccine is available through this tool. If you schedule an appointment and are not in an eligible group, you will be turned away. There is no longer a waitlist for current or future populations.

Grand River Health

Is an appointment required? Yes
How to make an appointment: Appointments will be scheduled as vaccine supply is available. Typically vaccine appointments are announced on Wednesdays and phone lines open up at 1 pm for appointments.

Mountain Family Health Centers

How to make an appointment: Call 970.945.2840 to make an appointment. Individuals may also complete a vaccine interest form here. The form will allow MFHC to contact those who have expressed interest in receiving the vaccine at the appropriate eligibility phase when vaccine is available.
