At work
Garfield County Community Corrections is a program intended to provide an alternative sentencing option to the courts for non-violent offenders.
Mission
The mission of Garfield County Department of Community Corrections is to work with referring agencies to help offenders take control of their lives to remain crime-free while focusing on preserving public safety.
Correctional programs
The Garfield County Department of Community Corrections has been providing non-residential service since 1982. In recent years, the program has expanded from a single purpose useful public service provider into providing a multitude of correctional programs. These have included, but are not limited to: monitoring domestic violence offender treatment compliance, overseeing personal recognizance bond issuance, performing pre-trial supervision, providing restitution services, supervising inmate work crews, and providing day reporting, electronic home monitoring, and ISP services for Division of Parole.
