Property tax notices mailed in Garfield County
Garfield County property tax notices were mailed on Jan. 29. Approximately 31,000 account notices were mailed for expected tax collections of just under $200.4 million, down from $232.8 million last year. Per statute, property owners may pay taxes in halves or all at once; the deadlines for half payments are Feb. 28, 2025, and June 15, 2025. As June 15 falls on a Sunday, June 16 will be honored as timely received. The deadline for a full payment is April 30, 2025.

Treasurer’s office accepting payments via Municipay
The Garfield County Treasurer’s Office has recently changed its electronic payment platform to Municipay. Taxpayers can make a payment by visiting the treasurer’s office property tax payment web page and clicking on the blue “pay property taxes online” button.
