Flu vaccinations
Flu and COVID vaccines now available at Garfield County Public Health.
Accepting Medicaid, Medicare Part B, CHP+, RMHP, BCBS, and UHC
Cost without insurance:
$15/child, $25/adult, $75/high-dose vaccine (for those 65 and older without Medicare Part B), and $30 FluMist.
Flu clinics for everyone age 6 months+ (all flu vaccines available)
Vaccine is offered on the following days and times.
Wednesdays in the Glenwood Springs Public Health office, 2014 Blake Ave., walk in from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed 12 – 1 p.m.) *CLOSED Wednesday, November 15 due to staff training.
Thursdays in the Rifle Public Health office, 195 W. 14th St. walk in from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed 12 – 1 p.m.) *CLOSED for Thanksgiving, November 23-24.
Flu symptoms
- fever (usually high)
- headache, muscle aches
- extreme tiredness
- dry cough, sore throat
- runny or stuffy nose
- muscle aches
- nausea, vomiting
- diarrhea
Prevent the flu
- get a flu shot
Protect others
- stay home when you’re sick
- cover your cough
- wash your hands
- drink lots of fluids
- get plenty of sleep
