Helicopter flights are underway in Glenwood Springs, as Xcel Energy has begun construction activities on the Mitchell Creek Electric Transmission Line rebuild.
Crews started work on the east end of the project near Glenwood Springs Substation. During construction, we will need to use helicopters to assist in delivering materials and installing transmission poles in areas with steep terrain and limited access.
