PRESS RELEASE
March 31, 2021

Garfield County is hosting a virtual community forum on the affordability of healthcare insurance in the region on Monday, April 5, at 6 p.m. The Board of County Commissioners, State Senator Bob Rankin and Peak Health Alliance CEO Claire Brockbank are taking part in the event, which includes a community question and answer session.

The public is encouraged to take part in this important community discussion, which covers healthcare insurance options in Colorado and state legislation that may affect rates. The forum will be streamed via Zoom and the password and link to the meeting are available at garfield-county.com/board-commissioners/meetings.

“Since the inception of the Affordable Care Act, the Board of County Commissioners has been working to bring down the cost of health insurance,” said Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky. “The high cost of insurance has been on the back of the middle class in Garfield County.”
