Saddle up your horses because the Garfield County Fair and Rodeo is going big in 2022. Country music sensation Big & Rich is headlining this year’s annual concert on Aug. 5, in what is sure to be a wild night filled with dancing, singing, and boot-stomping. Singer-songwriter Jennifer Belle is kicking off the fun at the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle, Colo. Tickets went on sale on www.garfieldcountyfair.com on April 15, at 8 a.m., and are sure to sell out fast.

Known as America’s “Technicolor Cowboys,” Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich (Big & Rich) first took the country music scene by storm in 2004 with their triple-platinum hit record, “Horse of a Different Color.” That album introduced the world to their seminal hit, “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.

“John Rich and Big Kenny are first-rate musicians, songwriters, producers, entertainers. Together, they are one of the most truly original musical forces ever unleashed on a welcoming world,” the group’s bio notes. “Big & Rich have made a career of being relatable and musically relevant since exploding into the public consciousness in 2003 as the rarest of breeds — true country music game changers.”

Big & Rich has earned numerous Grammy, Academy of Country Music, Country Music Awards, and Country Music Television accolades, and awards. But the duo is also known for supporting a plethora of humanitarian efforts, children’s hospitals, underprivileged children in foreign countries, and our military veterans.

“I want to be a fun and entertaining positive voice and entity in my community, in the country and in the world,” Alphin said. “I hope people know that those are the things that are important to me. And when they leave a Big & Rich concert, they should feel like they’ve just witnessed the greatest show on Earth.”
