Garfield County elected officials being sworn in Jan. 10

Ceremony is open to the public

Swearing-in ceremonies for recently elected officials will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 10, starting at 10 a.m. Ninth Judicial District Judge John F. Neiley is officiating the ceremony, which is open to the public.

Incumbents Commissioner Tom Jankovsky, Sheriff Lou Vallario, Assessor Jim Yellico, Coroner Robert Glassmire, and Surveyor Scott Aibner, as well as newly elected Clerk and Recorder Jackie Harmon are being sworn in at the Garfield County Administration Building, 108 Eighth Street, Glenwood Springs, in the commissioners’ regular meeting room.

Incumbent Treasurer and Public Trustee Carrie Couey is being sworn in statutorily before the end of 2022 in a separate public ceremony Dec. 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the treasurer’s office of the Garfield County Courthouse.

A Garfield County Board of County Commissioners work session is scheduled immediately following the Jan. 10 ceremony. Information on county news and events is available at garfield-county.com.
