Business personal property declaration deadline extended to June 15

GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The deadline for business owners to make personal property
declarations has been extended to June 15, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The declaration deadline extension, which was moved from April 15 to June 15, was enacted by an executive order from Colorado Gov. Jared Polis on April 2.

This is not an extension of the time in which to make property tax payments, but rather gives
business owners more time to make their declarations for 2020. If you have not yet paid your
property taxes, please contact the Garfield County Treasurer’s office at (970) 945-6382. The
deadline for a full property tax payment is April 30, or June 15 if you already made a half
payment by Feb. 29.

A detailed list of the new deadline dates is available at garfield-county.com/assessor or contact
the Garfield County Assessor’s Office at (970) 945-9134 for more information.
