Photos of new Garfield County Finance Director Jamaica Watts and new Contracts and Procurement Director Scott Henriksen.
Garfield County has elevated two of its own into important roles in both the finance and procurement departments. This move is designed to offer vendors an alternate method to submit bids and proposals. It also allows vendors to avoid potential traffic congestion related to the Aug. 14 Grand Avenue Bridge closure, and subsequent construction in Glenwood Springs. The county will accept responses in either physical or electronic formats for any solicitation posted to the RMEPS website. Physical bid and proposal submissions may still

Three of the vehicles were sold to bidders in Garfield County, three to bidders within Colorado but outside the county, and three were sold outside the state. The new online auction service is funded through a 10-percent buyer’s premium applied at the time of bid to all listed items, so no county tax funds are expended beyond staff time. The online portal is hosted
