The Childcare Program also hosts a monthly breakfast in Glenwood throughout the school year for center directors. Glenwood Springs breakfasts are the 2nd Friday of each month at 7:30. We meet on the first floor of the County Administration building at 108 8th St. For more information or directions, contact Dana Damm.
Childcare consultants are available to provide staff and provider trainings. These trainings count for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit, as well as mentoring hours required for county grant recipients. Current topics include emergent literacy in infants and toddlers, the role of cozy corners in classroom management, including nature and science in your curriculum and conflict resolution with young children. If you’re interested in one of these trainings, or would like to request another topic, please contact Donna or Amelia for more information.
