The Garfield County Planning Commission is holding a remote public hearing on Wednesday, March 10, at 6 pm for the review and consideration of a major impact review for a solar energy system – large located, approximately 3 miles west of the Town of Parachute and accessed from Highway 6, on an unaddressed property located within Lot 1 NW ¼ NE ¼, Section 27, T7S, R96W, Parachute, Colorado, 81635. The solar facility operator is Pivot Energy Solar.

The Garfield County Planning Commission is a decision-making body which primarily provides recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on land use matters. Planning Commission meetings are streamed online, via Zoom, for viewing during the meetings. The link to view will show on the Community Development home page when the meetings start.
The Garfield County Planning Commission holds its meetings on the second, and occasionally the fourth Wednesday of each month, on an as-needed basis. Occasionally, meetings are subjected to change, and that will be reflected on the Garfield County meetings page. Planning Commission meetings take place at 6:00 p.m.
Due, to the new COVID-19 policies and practices, these meetings are now conducted remotely, via Zoom, until further notice. Each remote meeting link will be provided on the Garfield County Community Development home page.
