Commissioner, Garfield County, Colorado
Commissioner Tom Jankovsky, a third generation native Coloradan, is serving in his second term as Garfield County Commissioner.
He is the public lands planning lead for the Board of County Commissioners. During his tenure, he has also served on the Garfield County Human Services Commission, the Garfield County Clean Energy Board, the county's Investment Advisory Board, and as a member of the Compressed Natural Gas Collaborative in western Colorado.
Commissioner Jankovsky is currently the general manager of Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs, Colorado,
and has held that position for the ski area since 1985. Tom was inducted into the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in 2012. He is currently on the board, and was a past chair, for Colorado Ski Country USA. He received his bachelor of science degree from Pacific University in Oregon.
Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky took the oath of office January 11, 2011 to serve the residents of Garfield County. Ninth Judicial District Court Judge Daniel Petre administered the swearing in ceremony.
