14th Street Pedestrian Bridge opens
The 14th Street Pedestrian Bridge officially opened February 16 to foot and bicycle traffic. The city of Glenwood Springs received a $350,000 Garfield County Federal Mineral Lease District grant to help realize the long-awaited project.

Grand Avenue Bridge road closures
The installation of steel girders as part of the new Grand Avenue Bridge, will affect traffic on Interstate 70, Sixth Street, and the existing bridge in Glenwood Springs from February 20 to March 1. Closures are from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Garfield County offices and departments will be closed Monday, February 20, for Presidents' Day. Functions which serve the community in emergency or 24-hour capacities will remain in operation. The Garfield County Landfill will also be closed.
