Memorial service to honor Chief of Police Chris Sadler

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. – The motorcade for New Castle Police Chief Chris Sadler will begin on Saturday, March 29. The motorcade will be open to Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS Departments only. Marked and unmarked vehicles are welcome as long as they have flashing lights.

Staging for vehicles who wish to participate in the motorcade will begin at 08:30 am at Deer Field Park located in Rifle (300 East 30th Street). Participants should be ready to join the motorcade at 10 a.m. as it passes.

The motorcade will take Hwy 13 to Railroad Ave. Go down Railroad Ave and through the town of Rifle to Hwy 6. The motorcade will then turn left onto Hwy 6 and continue through the town of Silt and hence to the town of New Castle, where the final Memorial Service will take place at 12 p.m.

Memorial Service to Honor Chief of Police Chris Sadler

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. – It is with heavy hearts that Law Enforcement Officers in New Castle and throughout the Valley as well as those who knew New Castle Chief of Police Chris Sadler mourn his passing.

Chief Sadler collapsed unexpectedly at his home on March 15, 2014. He was transported to the Grand River Hospital where he subsequently passed away.

Memorial services have been scheduled for Saturday March 29, 2014 at 12 p.m. They will be held at the Coal Ridge High School (35947 Hwy 6, New Castle, CO) following a motorcade procession. The memorial service is open to all who wish to attend.

Donations can be made at any Alpine Bank and should be designated for the “Chris Sadler Memorial Trust.”
