Shooting in Glenwood Springs, one dead, one injured

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. – The primary suspect in the July 31st, 2013 shooting in Glenwood Springs, CO is currently in custody in Mesa County. Fredy Argueta Cabrera turned himself into authorities.

The investigation will continue at this point to determine what the evidence can show about the incident.

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. – At approximately 11:00 PM on July 31st, 2013 Garfield County Deputies responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the Riverside Cottages in Glenwood Springs. Upon further investigation it was revealed that two people had been shot, both were transported to Valley View Hospital where one person was later pronounced dead. The other victim was transported to Denver for additional care.

The suspect fled the scene. Investigators are currently looking for Fredy Cabrera born: 12/27/73 in connection with the shooting. CBI has been called in for investigation at the scene.
