Monday evening, July 18, brought a cloudburst over the lower section of County Road 100 (Catherine Store Road), causing several debris flows. The Garfield County Road and Bridge Department sent out crews to areas where debris had collected on road sections, making them impassable. An estimated three feet of small diameter hail fell in the area.

The county will examine the damage in the coming weeks and culvert and road repair will follow, with traffic delays expected.
