Take action against radon!

Test Your Home. Protect Your Health.

Updated February 8, 2011

As you pick up your snow shovels and extra salt, don't forget to pick up a radon test kit. The cold winter months and the closed house conditions are a great time to test your home for radon. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is formed by the natural decay or breakdown of uranium in soil, rocks and water. 50% of homes tested in Garfield County have elevated levels of Radon. It's not too late to pick up a FREE coupon from Public Health or call 970-665-6383. For those who already have a coupon, don't forget to send it in and test your home.

Pick up your coupon at Public Health offices or call 970-665-6383.
