Garfield County accepting bids, proposals online

Electronic solicitations posted on Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System

PRESS RELEASE

GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The Garfield County Procurement Department has begun accepting online bid and proposal submissions. This is for any solicitation the county posts to Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS) after July 1, 2017. This move is designed to offer vendors an alternate method to submit bids and proposals. It also allows vendors to avoid potential traffic congestion related to the Aug. 14 Grand Avenue Bridge closure, and subsequent construction in Glenwood Springs.

The county will accept responses in either physical or electronic formats for any solicitation posted to the RMEPS website. Physical bid and proposal submissions may still be made in person at 810 Pitkin Avenue in Glenwood Springs, but all electronic responses must be submitted via RMEPS. It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that electronic bids and proposals get submitted prior to each deadline date.

The Procurement Department does not have access to, or control over, the vendor side of RMEPS. If issues occur during response submission, the vendor must contact RMEPS at 800-835-4603, to resolve the problem prior to the response deadline.

Visit garfield-county.com/procurement to access the RMEPS site, and for further information, open solicitation opportunities, awarded contracts, and more.
