Energy Advisory Board considers gas production and consumption

GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – An educational program named America’s Rapidly Evolving Natural Gas Production and Consumption and Implications for Colorado’s Western Slope will be presented October 2 in Rifle. Huge new supplies of North American natural gas have turned both the gas production and consumption markets upside down.

Chris Wright, technology and energy entrepreneur, and CEO of Liberty Resources and Liberty Oilfield Services will speak to the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board (EAB) in a community presentation. Liberty Resources is a Denver – based Company recognized as global experts in hydraulic fracturing and related technologies.

This talk will provide an overview of the rapid changes that have taken place so far, and what the implications have been for Colorado’s western slope. It will conclude with a few thoughts on what the future might bring.

The EAB presentation is Thursday, October 2, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Rifle Branch Library, 207 East Avenue. Dinner and social time for all attendees begins at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The Energy Advisory Board reports to the Garfield County Commissioners, and was created to provide a forum for the public, the oil and gas industry, landowners and local government to engage in positive and proactive communication and actions that encourage responsible and balanced development of energy resources in Garfield County.
