Garfield County Child Safety Fair offers resources and fun for families

What: Child Safety Fair

Where: Garfield County Fairgrounds, 1001 Railroad Avenue, Rifle, CO
Cost: Free

Garfield County families are invited to the 2012 Child Safety Fair April 11 at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. The event presents community and personal safety information for children, car seat safety checks, tooth varnishing for youth and much more!

In addition, the event features preschool registrations and community resources for families offered by many agencies in Garfield County.

Participating agencies include Garfield County Public Health, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, Garfield School District RE-2, Advocate Safehouse Project, Childhelp Colorado River Bridge Center, Family Visitor Programs, ArtillumA Dance Company, Mountain Valley Developmental Services, and many more.

Fun activities for kids in the community include Gus the Bus, face painting, dance presentations, games, raffles, and the chance to meet McGruff, the crime dog. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served.
