Commissioners appoint Schauf to library board
Jaimie Schauf has been appointed to an at-large seat on the Garfield County Library Board of Trustees. The seat became open when former board member Landon Churchill relocated out of the area. The term is for five years.

“I grew up in Basalt, and moved away when I joined the U.S. Army,” Schauf, a New Castle resident, told the commissioners. “I returned, have worked for the library district, and now work at Colorado Mountain College. I want to make a positive impact on the library district and help it move along in its executive director search.”

The commissioners approved the appointment unanimously, 3-0.
