GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The Garfield County Fair & Rodeo, along with partnering concert sponsor KMTS, is pleased to announce that country music star Gary Allan will headline the main concert August 7!

A fixture in the country music industry for nearly two decades, Gary Allan has sold more than seven million albums throughout his career. His albums have been certified platinum and gold five times in a row, and he topped the Billboard Country Albums Chart with a trio of back-to-back albums. His latest album “Set you Free” topped both the Billboard Country Albums Chart and the Billboard 200 (Pop Chart).

Gary Allan has produced 26 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts over nine albums. Four of those songs reached the number one spot. In 2003 “Man to Man” and “Tough Little Boys” reached number one, in 2004 “Nothing On but the Radio”, and in 2013 “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” all reached the number one spot. In addition, seven of Allan’s songs broke into the top ten on the charts.

And, Allan is poised with a new tune available March 3. Unveiled February 25 at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Gary Allan’s newest single “Hangover Tonight” received rave reviews.

As a performing artist, Allan has sold out venues as a headliner from coast to coast and has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Live with Kelly and Michael, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has appeared on magazine covers of Country Weekly, Pollstar, and People magazine.

“The Garfield County Fair Board was pleased the two previous years’ concerts were very successful and well attended, and felt there are not many opportunities for locals to attend a local event with a top-notch country western performer,” said Fair and Events Coordinator Doreen Herriott.

“The board asked the Garfield County Commissioners to increase the fair budget to bring a more well-known concert headliner here to entertain at the fairgrounds arena, which is an intimate venue compared to some of the other festival concerts in our region,” she added. “The two boards committed to raising the bar to provide an even better concert experience for our fair guests and sponsors.”

Allan performs at the Garfield County Fairgrounds Friday, August 7. Tickets go on sale June 1, and ticket prices will range from $10 to $60 each. Visit www.garfieldcountyfair.com for fair information, and tickets will be sold online when released.
