The Garfield County Board of County Commissioners holds its regular meetings on the first three Mondays each month. Occasionally, meeting dates are subject to change and will be reflected here. Board meetings begin at 8 a.m., and are held in the commissioner’s meeting room, Room 100, in the Garfield County Administration building in Glenwood Springs. Brief public comments may be offered to the board at 8 a.m., and again at 1 p.m. on days when the meeting extends into the afternoon.

1. Purpose of the meeting is to consider a suggested structure and process as well as provide direction to questions regarding the Garfield County Library District Trustee appointment. – Fred Jarman
2. Executive Session:
a. Upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the Commissioners, the Board will adjourn to executive session pursuant to C.R.S. §§ 24-6-402(4) (a) (b), and (e) to confer with its attorneys to receive legal advice and provide direction on specific legal questions surrounding a potential litigation matter on the issues of HB 19-1124 and HB 23-1100 and the lawsuit filed by El Paso and Douglas counties in Denver District Court Case 24CV31125, and to receive legal advice and determine positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations, and instructing negotiators relative to the purchase of real estate in the Rifle area.
b. An executive session may be requested on any item appearing on the agenda.
