Public service for the community The mission of Garfield County Department of Community Corrections is to work with referring agencies to help offenders take control of their lives to remain crime-free while focusing on preserving public safety.
The Garfield County Department of Community Corrections has been providing non-residential service since 1982. In recent years, the program has expanded from a single purpose useful public service provider into providing a multitude of correctional programs. These have included, but are not limited to: monitoring domestic violence offender treatment compliance, overseeing personal recognizance bond issuance, performing pre-trial supervision, providing restitution services, supervising inmate work crews, and providing day reporting, electronic home monitoring, and ISP services for Division of Parole.
