Targeted code revision to the Unified Land Use Code of 2008 (ULUR)

A 2011 directive of the Garfield County Board of County Commission (BOCC) was to review the Unified Land Use Resolution of 2008, As Amended, (ULUR), and revise the code in order to:

•   Eliminate unnecessary regulatory barriers that may discourage economic development;;

•   Streamline development procedures;

•   Make the overall code more efficient; and

•   Ensure the document is user-friendly

The targeted code revisions were split into two phases:

Phase I Phase II
Phase I was completed in August 2012. The BOCC will be reviewing the changes recommended for Phase II at a special meeting on May 7th, 2012. For more information on Phase II, click here.
