I-70 eastbound exit 116 on-ramp CLOSURE and off-ramp lane reduction
8th St. CLOSURE from Colorado Avenue to Grand Avenue begins next week

GARFIELD COUNTY/GLENWOOD SPRINGS – Friday, April 29, the I-70 Exit 116 eastbound on-ramp will be CLOSED and the eastbound off-ramp will be in a one-lane configuration from noon to 5 p.m. This closure is required to complete the pipe work at the ramp terminal.

For I-70 eastbound traffic, motorists should use the west Glenwood Springs exit 114.

The rest of exit 116 remains open with the westbound off-ramp delineated down to one lane.

May 2-5, 8th St. will be CLOSED from Grand Avenue to Colorado. This 24-hour closure is necessary for a waterline tie-in on 8th St. Motorists should use 9th Street as an alternate route.

The Garfield County Council on Aging has released the 2016 list of nominees for Senior of the Year and Friend of the Senior awards which will be given at the annual banquet in Rifle on April 30.

The Garfield County Sheriff's Office will hold a ceremony honoring K-9 officers and their handlers at the Sheriff's Annex in Rifle on Friday, April 29 at 3 pm. The event is open to the public.
