Garfield County offices will close on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Staff functions serving the community in emergency or 24-hour capacities will remain in operation.
Garfield County and Discover Goodwill assist low-income families to stay warm from November 1 - April 30. To apply for heating assistance, visit a Garfield County Human Services office for an application.
A landmark settlement agreement for the Roan Plateau cancels 17 of 19 leases and refunds $47.6 million in bids and rents to Bill Barrett Corporation. Two leases on top and 12 leases at the base of the plateau remain.
